KARACHI: Pakistan’s campaign in the 33rd Asian Snooker Championship is over when former national champion Mohammad Bilal also met his fate being blanked by eminent cueist Pankaj Advani of India straight 5-0 in the semi-final at Doha on Thursday.

According to information made available here, Advani, who had many world snooker and billiards titles under his belt, gave no room to his opponent, winning the battle in convincing fashion 82-44, 67-12, 50-38, 66-8, 67-8 to inch closer towards winning the title.

Advani was up against China’s Lv Haotoan in the best of 11 frames final that was in progress at the time of filing this report.

Bilal, who made exit in pre quarter-final of the same event last year, has shown marked improvement this time by leaping two places.

Results (Semi-final): Pankaj Advani (India) bt Mohammad Bilal 5-0 (82-44, 67-12, 50-38, 66-8, 67-8).
