SAHIWAL: As many as 37 boys and girls participated in the district level painting competition held here on Monday at Jinnah Hall under the Chief Minster’s Talent Hunt Programme.

More than 60 per cent of contestants from Pakpattan and Sahiwal were girls.

The Sahiwal Art Council made arrangements for the event on its lawn. Later, paintings were displayed in the main gallery. Sahiwal Art Council Resident Director Aqeel Ashfaq said a similar contest had already been held at Okara district.

The contestants were given two hours to make their painting either with water, oil or pastoral colours. Commissioner Babar Hayat Tarar visited the event and encouraged the participants to “show maximum of their potential.”
