Five students were arrested and later released after they shouted slogans against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during a sports function held on Saturday at the Railway Stadium in Lahore.

The students indulged in sloganeering when Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique took the podium to speak to the attendants and athletes.

They could be heard shouting 'Go Nawaz Go!' when the minister was distributing prizes among the winning athletes.

Railway police arrested the youth after the minister left the venue. The youths belong to Karachi.

The arrested students were released later in the day after the prime minister took notice of the incident. An investigation in to the incident is underway.
