As many as 80 sheep were killed when a speeding truck ran over their herd in Sialkot on Friday, police sources said.

The incident occurred as a large herd of sheep came onto the path of two dumper trucks which were racing each other on Sialkot's Marala Road.

One of the speeding trucks lost control and ran over the sheep, killing at least 80 animals in its wake. Over a hundred other sheep were left injured in the incident.

Police arrested one of the dumper drivers and seized his truck, while the other truck driver managed to flee.
