LAHORE, July 29: PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif says talks between the government and the opposition on controversial subjects can’t produce results if the ARD is ignored.

According to a press release issued by his party here on Tuesday, the exiled leader said that those supporting the undemocratic and unconstitutional system would lose people’s backing.

He said dictatorship would not become democracy even if tagged so. In his opinion, rulers were trying to divide political forces and weaken political institutions for their own interests.

The PML-N chief said all patriotic forces should step up their efforts for political reconciliation and supremacy of the Constitution. He said the nation should support the ARD to get back their rights.

Expressing concern over the law and order situation, Shahbaz Sharif said it was reflective of the failure of the rulers and the state institutions.
