LAHORE: The Lahore District Hockey Association is organising the Seven-a-Side Dr Ghulam Rasool Chaudhry Hockey Tournament at the Johar Town Stadium here from Tuesday.
Late Dr Ghulam Rasool, who captained Pakistan’s hockey team, was also a member of Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medal-winning squad of the 1960 Rome Games, Dr Ghulam Rasool is father of former Pakistan captain and president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Akhtar Rasool.
