KARACHI: The second day of the 17th Sindh Amateur Golf Championship revolved around another upcountry golfer M. Rehman who added Hole in-One feather to his cap at the Karachi Golf Club (KGC) on Saturday.

Rehman, of the Royal Palm Golf Club (RPGC), stood tall when he scored Hole-in-One at hole eleven of yellow besides an eagle at hole two of the red side as he shot a splendid four under par 68 in the second round.

However, despite making waves he is five shots behind the leader with a two round aggregate of one under 143. He shot three over 75 in the first round.

Overnight leader Taimur Khan of the PAF who caught the eye in the opening round carding seven under 65 envisaged by seven birdies, shot one over 73 to lead the pack of golfers. His two round aggregate score is 138, six under par.

There’s a two-way tie in the third place at one over 145 between the defending champion Zohaib Asif and Sajid Khan.

Meanwhile, displaying an awesome performance, the Sindh Golf Associtation (SGA) president Asad I. A. Khan annexed the 36-holes seniors title.

Asad, a former managing director of NESPAK who has recently been elected chairman of the Pakistan Council of Architect and Town Planner finished with scores of 151, seven over par. The two round scores were 73 and 78.

Defending champion Omar Khan Bangash finished runner-up at 10 over 154 (76, 78).

The juniors (under-18) gross title went to KGC’s Junaid Irfan while Nadir Khan, also of KGC, finished runner-up.

Danyal Khan of the KGC grabbed the master’s (under-15) gross crown while Yasha Shah finished runner-up.
