LAHORE: Pakistan Ranger (Punjab) on Sunday set up a telephone helpline for the members of the public to report any suspicious or militant activity.

Rangers have been deployed across the province as part of recently-launched Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, as army and law enforcement agencies scaled up efforts against terrorists and their facilitators following a fresh wave of terror attacks in the country.

Rangers and the counter terrorism department (CTD) of police were directed by the government to launch operation against terrorists, activists of banned outfits and their facilitators jointly.

Rangers appealed to the public to ‘assist’ them in the operation and “report suspicious activity or information related to terrorism in Punjab” by calling on 042-99220030, 99221230, texting 0340-8880047, What’s App messaging 0340-8880100 or emailing help@pakistanrangerspunjab.com and postal address ‘‘Headquarters Pakistan Rangers Punjab: 33 Ghazi Road Lahore”.
