Manzoor powers ABL to healthy score

RAWALPINDI, Dec 29: A scintillating 107 by Manzoor Akhtar powered Allied Bank to 292 for five on the first day of their Patron’s Trophy Pool ‘B’ match against National Bank at KRL Stadium on Monday.

Manzoor faced 166 deliveries in his innings striking 18 fours after Allied Bank had been asked to bat first. Others doing well with the bat were Ijaz Ahmed Jnr who scored an unbeaten 70 and Wajahatullah Wasti scoring 47.

Paceman Zahid Saeed took two for 51 while Aleem Musa and Mohammad Javed had one each.
