KARACHI: Rangers claimed to have killed seven suspected militants in an ‘encounter’ on the outskirts of Karachi late on Sunday night.

A spokesperson for the paramilitary force said that Rangers had conducted a raid in Shah Latif Town on intelligence report about the presence of ‘hardcore terrorists’ there.

The suspects opened fire on the raiding team from their hideout. During an exchange of fire, seven ‘terrorists’ were killed, while one Rangers man was injured.
