KARACHI: City Mayor Waseem Akhtar has said that the whole area around Edulji Dinshaw Road and KPT Sports Complex will be beautified after removal of encroachment.

He said the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board had been contacted for repairing of sewerage lines in Edulji Street, while extension of Nehr-i-Khayam was under way. He expressed these views during his visit to Nehr-i-Khayam, Custom House, and other areas on Friday, said a statement.

DMC East Chairman Moeed Anwer, DG technical services, DG parks, director technical services and other officers accompanied him.

The mayor was earlier welcomed by chief collector customs, Zahid Khokhar, and others when he reached the Custom House where he was given a briefing.
