Two die as wagon hits truck

CHINIOT, Dec 28: Two passengers were killed while 13 others sustained injuries when a speeding wagon rammed into a stationary truck near here on Sunday.

The wagon (LOK-4474), carrying a marriage party, was on its way from Alipur to Silanwali. On Pindi Bhattian Road, the wagon hit the truck parked along the road near Burjian stop, about 15 kilometre from here. As a result, minor girl Bushra and conductor Akram Khan of Wazirabad died instantly while 13 other passengers suffered injuries.

The injured were identified as Akbar, Bilqees, Nasreen Javed, Hanif, Ruby Pervez, Fatima Ijaz, Shakeel, Salma Anwar, Anwar Ali, Rehman, Shumaila Mustafa, Shahzadi Khan and Fawad. They were rushed to a local hospital.
