Promotion of 37 brigadiers approved

RAWALPINDI: Prom­o­tion of 37 brigadiers was approved by the promotion board at a meeting held at the General Headquarters on Thursday.

Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa was in the chair.

The officers, nine from the Army Medical Corps (AMC), will be promoted to the rank of major general.

The brigadiers promoted are Nauman Zakria, Kan­war Adnan Ahmed Khan, Syed Aamir Raza, Tariq Zameer, Tahir Gulzar Malik, Shahid Mahmood, Mohammad Asghar, Khalid Saeed, Ayman Bilal Safdar, Sarfraz Mohammad, Rafi­qur Rehman, Inam Haider Malik, Salman Fayyaz Gha­ni, Sarfraz Ali, Mohammad Aniqur Rehman Malik, Mohammad Asim Malik, Fayyaz Hussain Shah, Shahid Nazir, Ziaur Rehman, Zahid Mahmood, Azhar Iqbal Abbasi, Tariq Mahmood, Ahsan Gulrez, Shahid Imtiaz, Rizwan Afzal, Usman Haq, Syed Shahab Shahid and Nauman Ahmed Hashmi.

The brigadiers approved from the AMC are Tahir Sardar, Ms Nigar Johar, Irfan Ai Sheikh, Liaquat Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imran Fazal, Tahir Iqbal, Tariq Mahmood Satti and Tahir Khadim.
