KARACHI: Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in the Khanjar sector along the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday.

“Indian irresponsible attitude continues. Unprovoked firing at LoC in Khanjar Sector today,’’ tweeted Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor.

Pakistani troops retaliated and “silenced the enemies by effective response,” added the ISPR chief.

Indian troops previously shelled the Khanjar sector in Bhimber district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on January 30 with RPG-7 and automatic grenade launcher, but no casualties were reported.
