NBP on top against ZTBL

KARACHI, Dec 24: National Bank are eying a possible victory in the rain-hit Patron’s Trophy Pool ‘B’ fixture in Peshawar after reducing Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) to 113 for six on Wednesday.

ZTBL need another 72 runs to avoid the follow-on on the fourth and final day on Thursday.

Earlier, after Tuesday’s wash out, NBP added another 56 to be all out for 334 in their first innings. Sajid Ali scored three more runs before he fell lbw to ZTBL captain Rao Iftikhar for 97. Mohammad Javed, however, went on to score 82.
