KARACHI: The weather system that has brought heavy rains to parts of Balochistan is likely to make its presence felt in Karachi today (Wednesday), the Meteorological department stated on Tuesday. Fortunately, though, the city is predicted to have isolated light to moderate rains.

“It’s the same system causing heavy rains [along] the Makran coast. Karachi, however, is likely to have light to moderate rains for a day,” said Akhlaq Jameel, deputy director at the Met department’s airport office. The minimum temperature forecast for Wednesday is 13 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius.

The minimum and maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 14 degree Celsius and 28 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity level — a measure of the amount of moisture in the air — was recorded at 46 and 21 per cent in the morning and evening hours, respectively.
