Noor at it again

Published January 15, 2017

This is the time for veteran film-maker Syed Noor to put his money where his mouth is. Last week he started filming for his next movie Chaen Aey Na in Karachi and he expects to round it off way before the end of this year. The cast includes Nadeem, Mustafa Qureshi, Shehroz and Behroze Sabzwari, Adil Murad and Sehrish Khan.

Noor Sahib has been protesting against the screening of Indian films in Pakistan all along, urging cine-goers to promote local stuff. What better way to prove what he’s been saying all along by putting out a quality film to make us realise that Pakistan directors are no less talented than their international counterparts.

The condition, I repeat, is to put out a quality film because in the final analysis, film-makers are judged on that, not on their statements. If you know what I mean.
