LAHORE, Dec 20: Thousands of people visited the two-day exhibition, All About Lifestyles, which opened at the Lahore Polo Club (GOR-I) on Saturday.

The exhibition organized by the Dawn Group of Newspapers would remain open to public on Sunday (today) between 10am and 10pm.

Over 100 exhibitors have set up their stalls displaying a wide range of consumer items and commercial products and services. The products on display included cameras, mobile phones, kitchenware, home appliances, ethnic furniture, clothing and others. Discounts and prizes are also being offered by exhibitors to their buyers.

“It is a very well organized exhibition. I urge the organizers to extend it for another couple days in view of public interest,” said an exhibitor, Tahir Yazdani Malik, who has set up a stall of ethnic furniture.

He said around 60,000 people, mostly families, had visited the event on the first day.

Both organizers and exhibitors expect more people to visit the exhibition on Sunday being the weekly holiday.

Aero modelling, hot air ballooning and fabulous fireworks were the main attractions on the first day of the exhibition.

Different interactive pavilions have also been established for providing entertainment to children, teenagers, and adults. Young World Pavilion is the major attraction for children while network gaming, web zone and video conferencing has been arranged for the teenagers in the Science dot Com Pavilion.

Assorted activities —- live music, poetry recital sessions and development dialogues —- have been arranged for the young adults. A picture and art gallery and a book and magazine section accompanied by a reading area has been set up to promote interest in arts and literature.

An elaborate food court offering continental, Chinese and desi cuisines is an additional attraction for the visitors.

The main attractions for the visitors on the second day of the event include an all breed championship dog show and hot air ballooning.

The first All About Lifestyles exhibition this year was held in Islamabad on Dec 6-7 and was a huge success with over 140,000 people visiting it. It will move from Lahore to Karachi on Dec 27-28.
