At least four people, including a minor, were killed and 20 others injured as an intercity bus caught fire after colliding with a truck near Shikarpur district of Sindh.

Rescue sources told DawnNews that the bodies were beyond immediate recognition due to intensity of fire. Later it was found that the driver of the bus Ahmed Ali Barohi was also among dead.

Sources at Civil Hospital Shikarpur confirmed that four bodies had been brought there. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The bus was heading to Karachi from Dera Murad Jamali when it collided with a truck coming from opposite directed near Kundon area on a bypass.

Rescue teams and fire brigade workers extinguished the fire and shifted the bodies and injured.

The condition of two injured people at Civil Hospital Larkana was pronounced as critical.
