Taher Shah, the man behind the surprise hit songs 'Eye to eye' and 'Mankind's angel', has left the country after receiving anonymous 'death threats', his manager has confirmed.

Shah's manager did not have any information regarding the singer's return to the country.

Taher Shah rose to internet stardom when he released his first viral hit, 'Eye to eye', in 2013. He rose to prominence again in April this year with his second release, 'Mankind's angel'.

Actor and singer Ali Zafar, actor Ranveer Singh, and cricketer Varun Dhawan are among the high-profile celebrities who have attempted to mimic the singer's quirky style.
