Three-goal Ahsan claims limelight

LAHORE, Dec 18: Two more matches were decided in the Dimal Polo Cup-2003 at the LPC Grounds on Thursday.

By virtue of 2 1/2 goal handicap, First Law Company beat Musa Industries 7 1/2 -6. Three goals were scored Ahsan Javed Sher and two by Ehsan Ellahi for the winners.

For Musa, Shahid Hayat and Raja Samiullah added two goals each while Raja Sattar and Syed Hasan Raza struck a goal each to reduce the margin.

A half goal handicap saved Guard Rice who beat Leather Connection 4 1/2-4. For the winners, Arsalan Najeeb, Taimur Malik, Maula Baksh and Mir Shoaib Ahmed scored a goal apiece.

For Leather, Hissam Ali Hyder, who played a key role to help Pakistan qualify for the World Cup main round, last month at the same ground, scored three goals. Aurangzeb Monnoo contributed a goal.
