As a former California deputy attorney general, I am appalled at the nonsense included in the PTI documents. I have occasionally seen the same in submissions to our appellate courts, but always felt safe in ignoring them because I knew the courts would do so also, knowing their impropriety without need for my objection. To submit irrelevant material to a court for the purpose of influencing the court through inadmissible evidence is thoroughly improper.
