KARACHI, Dec 12: Sindh Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights, Choudhry Iftikhar Ahmed, Education Minister Irfanullah Marwat and Fisheries and Live Stock Minister Sardar Manzoor Khan Panhwar, expressing deep sorrow over the sudden death of religious scholar and political leader, Allama Shah Ahmed Noorani, said that it is a national loss.

Meanwhile, the provincial ministers have also expressed their deep sorrow over the death of wife of Ghulam Mustafa Khan Jatoi and offered condolence to Jatoi family.

All the town Nazims of the city government on Friday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing away of religious scholar and Senator Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani.

In a joint press statement, the Nazims, including Dr Pervez Mehmood of Liaqutabad Town and others, paid rich tributes to the deceased leader for propagating Islam in far off areas of the African continent.

“Maulana Noorani never compromised on principles,” they said.

They prayed to Allaha Almighty to grant fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss and to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

Sindh chief secretary Dr Mutawakkil Kazi, Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, leaders of Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association, Prof Syed Riaz Ahsan, Prof Manzoor Hussain Chushti, Prof Athar Hussain, in their separate condolence messages have also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani.

Meanwhile, deputy speaker, Sindh Assembly, Rahela Tiwana, has condoled the sad demise of the MMA leader and scholar.
