Route permits cancelled

HYDERABAD: During a surprise checking at the main Hyderabad-Jamshoro road near Rajputana Hospital on Monday, Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner Muatasam Abbasi cancelled route permits of a number of public transport vehicles after finding CNG/LPG cylinders inside the vehicles.

The DC, who is also chairman of the District Regional Transport Authority, intercepted many public vehicles reaching here from different areas of Sindh and after checking, cancelled the route permits of many of them.

Traffic police personnel also checked route permits and licences. They cancelled permits of unfit vehicles.
