NAWABSHAH: Two die in accident

NAWABSHAH, Dec 7: Two people were killed in an accident on the National Highway, near Qazi Ahmed, Nawabshah district, on Sunday.

A Sukkur-bound truck (TKB-548) hit a stationary trailer (LSB-5486) as a result of which truck driver Nadir Channar, 40, and Nawaz Brohi, 35, were killed on the spot.

Edhi volunteers took their bodies to the Qazi Ahmed Rural Health Centre.

No FIR had been registered till the filing of this report.

CYCLIST KILLED: A cyclist, Haji Khan Bhutto, 65, was hit and killed by a van (CK-6842) on the National Highway, near the Haq Madina bus stop, Qazi Ahmed, on Sunday.

The Qazi Ahmed police arrested the van driver, Saleem Ahmed.

PML-Q: The president, PML-Q, Nawabshah, Syed G. M. Shah, has accused PPP (SB) activists of attacking PML-Q workers on Sunday when they were writing slogans welcoming the chief minister, Sindh.

Talking to newsmen, he said that some activists of the PPP-SB, Nawabshah, attacked workers of the PML-Q youth wing, Danish Qureshi, and Mohammad Hussain Qureshi, when they were chalking slogans in favour of the chief minister, Sindh, on VIP Road.

However, the PPP-SB district president, Ali Gul Keerio, denied the statement of the PML-Q leader accusing the workers of the PPP-SB of removing slogans and flags from different roads of the town.
