ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that the revised voters’ lists will be displayed on Tuesday at 1,000 centres and offices of the district election commissioners.

The exercise is the second phase of the process for updating the electoral roll.

The ECP said on Saturday that the list would be placed on its website and would also be shared with the media. Voters, it said, could check the lists and seek an amendment, if required. They may also send a text message with their CNIC number to 8300 for finding out the details.

The commencement of the first phase of the door-to-door verification of the voters was to begin on Aug 1, but was delayed at the last moment by two weeks. Hence the display of lists scheduled for Aug 21 was also rescheduled.
