QUETTA: The Cadet College Qila Saifullah has been closed temporarily for security concerns ahead of Eidul Azha holidays.

The principal of the college, Khaliq Dad Bazai, said on Sunday that since there were threats to the college, students had been asked to go home.

He said the college administration had requested the Pakistan Army to provide security to the college because it was located in an isolated area and there were no other buildings near the college. He said army authorities had assured them that full security would be provided to the college. The college would be reopened after Eid, he added.

Some students, however, told media people that there was enough security for the college. They said closure of the college several days before Eid would affect their studies.
