PESHAWAR, Dec 5: The International Volunteer Day was observed in Afghan refugee camps across the NWFP and the adjacent tribal areas on Friday.
A press release said that functions were held in different refugee camps which were attended by a large number of refugees.
On the occasion the refugee elders highlighted the importance of volunteers in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of their war-ravaged country.
They urged the refugees to go back to Afghanistan under the UN sponsored voluntary repatriation programme to play role in the reconstruction of their homeland.
