HYDERABAD, Dec 31: Hyderabad District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman has said that Pakistan believed in peace and wanted to live in peace and amity with its neighbours. However, referring to the Indian war threats, he said that the people were fully prepared to face any challenge.

He was talking to the delegations which called on him at his office here on Monday.

The Nazim said the patriotic people of Sindh stood behind the government and valiant armed forces to face any aggression.

He said that the political parties of the country had extended unflinching support to the government during the present crisis.

Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman said that the Hyderabad district government was fully prepared to provide volunteers in case of need and added that the entire nation was ready to sacrifice lives to defend the country.
