ISLAMABAD, Dec 4: An Awami National Party (ANP) delegation led by its president Asfandyar Wali is leaving for New Delhi to attend a conference being organized by Hindustan Times on Dec 10.

The Indian newspaper claims that former prime minister Benazir Bhutto will also attend the two-day conference, but PPP officials were not available for confirmation.

The conference, which is part of Hindustan Times’ Leadership Initiative, is titled, “The Peace Dividend: Progress for India, Pakistan and the Neighbourhood”. Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will inaugurate the conference.

It is being attended by high-profile politicians and intellectuals.
