Four Pakistan teams for Sharjah

KARACHI, Dec 4: Four Pakistani teams will be featuring in the Sharjah Bridge International Tournament to be held from Jan 11 to 16, secretary, Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) Tariq Rasheed Khan said on Thursday.

The event carries a purse of US$30,000.

Four teams of Pakistan are BFAME champion Allana, Candyland, Lipton and Marathon.

Open pairs, mixed pairs and team championship events will be held during the 6-day competition.

Team event winner will get US$5000, runners-up US$4000, third position US$3000 and fourth position US$2000.

From fifth to eight position holder will receive US$ 800, 600, 500 and 400 respectively.

Open Pair event winner will pocket US$ 3000, runners-up 2000 and third position 1000.

In addition to that individual prizes will also be given to best ladies pair, best mixed pair, best improved pair, best mixed team, best ladies team and best UAE team.—APP
