KARACHI: A Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) team raided a ghee and oil factory in Korangi on Monday, seized a large quantity of products prepared there by using substandard ingredients, and sealed the factory.

A PSQCA statement said that its staffers raided Farhan Oil Products and found a large number products made under the brands of ‘Lucky’, ‘Khyber’, ‘Al-Hamza’, ‘Rani’, ‘Shafee’, ‘Babu ji’, ‘Shahraz’ and ‘Najam’. No quality control system as per the Pakistan Standards specifications was found at the factory.

The substandard products have been seized and the factory has been sealed, and legal action has been initiated against it, adds the statement.
