PESHAWAR, Nov 30: Two people were gunned down by their rivals, while an elderly man was killed in a traffic accident here on Sunday.

Aftaba, wife of Mehraban Shah, told police that her family had an enmity with another family of Naudeha Bala, from where they shifted to a locality near Karkhano markets few years ago.

On Sunday morning, she said, her son Barkat Shah, son-in-law Niazullah and a relative Ihtisham, went to the Jamrud bus stand where their rivals opened indiscriminate fire on them. As a result, Barkat and Niaz died on the spot, while Ihtisham received serious wounds. He was taken to Khyber Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.

Aftaba nominated four persons, Naseer, Haroon, Sabir and Izhar, in the case. No one has been arrested so far.

In a separate incident, a speeding car on the main Grand Trunk Road near the Haji Camp locality hit killing him on the spot. The driver fled after the accident.
