Telenor acquires spectrum licence

KARACHI: Telenor Pakistan has acquired the technology neutral 850MHz spectrum licence at base price of $395 million in order to deliver on its 4G and internet services for all.

Ms Anusha Rehman, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecom presented the licence to Mr Michael Foley, CEO, Telenor Pakistan.


Faysal Bank launches titanium credit card

KARACHI: Faysal Bank Ltd announced the launch of titanium credit card.

The card offers a multitude of facilities and allows access to airport lounges around the world, said a press release.


UAE Etisalat telecoms profit surge 51pc in Q2

ABU DHABI: UAE telecoms giant Etisalat announced on Wednesday net profits of $625 million in the second quarter of 2016, a 51-per cent jump on the same period of last year.

Net profit in April-June after royalty reached 2.3 billion dirhams ($625m), Etisalat said, while revenues increased 2pc to 13.3bn dirhams ($3.61bn).
