THE Lasbela district is the most backward area in Balochistan as there is not a single quality hospital whether private or government.

People have to take their patients to Karachi, as a result of which they have to bear a lot of expenses. Besides, many patients die on the way to Karachi.

Many pregnant women have to go to Karachi for delivering babies. However, there are families which fear going to Karachi because of its uncertain security situation. Owing to this, quite a few women and babies die.

The authorities concerned should set up at least one good hospital in the Lasbela district having facilities like qualified doctors, operation theatre, labs, etc.
