LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Friday dismissed bail petitions of three prime suspects of the Kasur child abuse scandal and directed an anti-terrorism court to conclude trial without delay.

Suspects Saleem Akhter Sherazi, Attiqur Rehman and Tanzeelur Rehman pleaded in their bail petitions that police had failed to prove charges against them. They sought bail saying the trial of the case was yet to be completed.

A division bench, however, denied bails to the suspects and directed the trial court to decide the case without delay.

Ganda Singhwala police of Kasur had registered cases against the suspects and others on charges of sexually assaulting children, especially boys, and filming the act to blackmail them.
