Dialysis machine at DHQ Hospital

GUJRANWALA, Nov 29: Medical classes at the DHQ Hospital would start in November next, stated Corps Commander Lt-Gen Khalid Munir Khan.

Speaking at the opening of dialysis machine installation here on Saturday, he announced that the outdoor patients’ department would be expanded to facilitate the patients.

He expressed satisfaction over the installation of dialysis machine and hoped that the patients would be provided better facilities in the department.

Earlier, he was informed that Rs2.2 million had been spent on the installation of the machine for which various non-government organizations had contributed generously.

EDO (health) Dr Zafar Iqbal Niazi, DHQ hospital medical superintendent Dr Nisar Ahmad Cheema and dialysis unit administrator Amir Haider Shah attended the ceremony.

Later, the corps commander visited an eye hospital at the Upper Chenab Canal on the GT Road and monitored functioning of its various departments.

ACTORS HELD: A police team raided a theatre and arrested a drama producer and three actors on charge of promoting obscenity.

The raid was conducted on the orders of judicial magistrate. Producer Ghazanfar and actors Ghulam Mustafa, Ahmad Ansari and Sofia were arrested.
