Bike prices raised

KARACHI: Atlas Honda Limited (AHL) has increased the price on its four models CG-125, Prider, CG-125 Dream and CG-125 Deluxe by Rs500 in the first week of this month.

According to a dealer, the company has not given any reason for pushing up the rates. However, the price of CD-70 and CD-70 Dream has been unchanged for more than a year at Rs63,500 and Rs67,500

Market sources said that CG-125 has been facing severe shortage owing to huge demand and the company has been unable to cope with it. Taking advantage of the situation, some market dealers were seen charging premium on CG-125 up to Rs10,000 including registration papers even though the company’s price is Rs105,000.

A dealer said that the overall production of Honda bikes in June 2016 fell to 62,200 units from 73,000 in May 2016. The overall production in 2015-16, however, swelled to 810,539 from 652,593 units in 2014-15.

Import bikes from india with more features. These bike are highly expensive in comparison to indian bikes. we can buy a 125cc bike with 65-70 kmpl self start bike disk brake in just 45,000-50,000 inr. Import bikes from India And save your money

Atlas Honda Limited Bikes are like Pak-Suzuki Mehran , with no modern feature and out dated engine and technology . Yamaha is doing well and its a mater of time , when AHL will lost significant market share.

@UC Your currency is better than us. Also if we'll import bike from India, we have to pay duty with is 200% of motors (vehicles). Indian bike will cost us more than 200K after all duties and taxes.

We have only three modles of bikes in Pakistan . 70 cc , 100 cc , & 125 cc share of 150 cc is less than 1% of our total annual sales . more than 75 assemblers who are active out of 125 approved assemblers are producing same design and same parts with same vendors these only 03 models . CD 70cc , 100 cc and CG 125cc bikes in Pakistan . www.motorcycleexport.com
