ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday urged Pakistan’s envoys to project the country’s policies on regional peace and security, combating extremism and terrorism, economic development and strengthening the national institutions.

He was talking to six Pakistani envoys, who called on him with Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri, Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar and Additional Secretary, United Nations and Economic Coordination, Tariq Osman Hyder.

Pakistan’s ambassadors to China, the United States, the United Kingdom and Austria and permanent representatives to the United Nations in New York and Geneva had been called here for a yearly review of the foreign policy.

The minister and the secretary briefed the president about the discussions of the envoys on Pakistan’s relations with key countries and the direction of national policies at the multilateral forums.—APP
