KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate, Gwadar, has exceeded revenue collection target of customs duty by 203 per cent during the financial year 2015-16.

Official sources said that total target of customs duty for the Collectorate from July 2015 to June 2016 was Rs1,654 million and collection against this target for the same period stood at Rs5,009 million.

They said that the MCC Gwadar had not only massively surpassed revenue collection target of customs duties, but the total target of all duties and taxes allocated to the Collectorate had also surpassed due to untiring efforts of the Collectorate, headed by Collector Saeed Akram.

The officials said that combined target of the Collectorate of all taxes during the outgoing financial year was Rs19,483 million and taxes collected against this target stood at Rs30,656 million which was record Rs11 billion more than the target assigned.
