ISLAMABAD: A man was found murdered in green area here on Friday, police said.

The body was recovered after some passersby spotted it lying in the wooded area at G-10/1 and later informed the police. In response the police reached the spot and shifted the body to a hospital for identification and legal process.

So far the victim was yet to be identified and according to police he was in his late 30s, the police said, adding that he was slaughtered with a sharp edged weapon.

Some marks of injuries were also found on the body, they added.

The circumstantial evidence suggested that he was murdered somewhere else and his body was dumped there, they said, adding that nothing was found which could provide a lead to his identification, the police added.
