Govt claims achieving milestones in economic sphere

KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah on Friday expressed satisfaction over Pakistan Navy’s operational preparedness.

This he said while witnessing operational readiness of the PN units and port security measures during a visit to naval installations at Gwadar.

Commander Coast Rear Admiral Waseem Akram welcomed the naval chief upon his arrival in Gwadar.

The naval chief was briefed about the ongoing operational activities and associated security aspects at the Gwadar port, particularly with respect to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Admiral Zakaullah expressed the PN’s resolve to ensure seaward defence of vital maritime infrastructure and protection of the maritime interests of Pakistan against all threats while reiterating that development of the Gwadar port would be a linchpin for the overall success of the CPEC project.

Speaking to the officers and men, the PN chief applauded their professionalism and dedication in safeguarding the maritime frontiers of the country.
