WASHINGTON, Nov 25: Jurors in the United States have recommended the death penalty for John Allen Muhammad, the so- called DC sniper who is accused of masterminding last year’s random shootings in the Washington area in which 10 people were killed.

Allen was found guilty last week of killing one of these victims, a man from the Washington suburb of Gaithersburg, and received recommendation for death on Monday.

“The jurors’ message is clear, this type of conduct can’t be tolerated,” said Prince William county’s attorney Paul B. Ebert whose jurisdiction includes Gaithersburg.
