The ISPR spokesman tweeted General Raheel was presented with a guard of honour upon his arrival after which he discussed bilateral military relations with his German counterpart and the country's defence minister.

"Acknowledging Pakistan Army's accomplishments in war on terror, the German military leaders showed interest in learning from Pakistan's military experience," said Bajwa.

The army chief will be visiting Germany for two days and will then visit the Czech Republic for a day, according to ISPR.

Last year, General Raheel Sharif visited Munich and addressed the Central South Asia Security Conference.
