RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif landed in Munich, Germany on Monday for a day-long official visit.
The COAS will address participants of the Central South Asia Security Conference, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations Lieutenant-General Asim Bajwa said in a tweet posted on his official Twitter account.
Last week, the Army Chief visited troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir on the eve of Eidul Azha and celebrated Eid with troops in Khyber Agency.
The COAS' visit to Germany comes just a day after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Merkel appreciated progress made by Pakistan in its efforts to counter terrorism and acknowledged the country's contribution towards regional peace and stability.

COAS in Germany, PM in USA. 36 ppl have died no one is taking responsibility. Since foreign ministry is now more in hands of COAS so he should be in Saudi arabia along with PM.

I would love to see COAS representing Pakistan everywhere. I request dawn to have a poll as to who the people of Pakistan would like to see running the country. I guarantee you 90% plus would say COAS Genral Raheel Shareef.

General Raheel Shareef is a great patriot and an excellent general. His greatness lies in the fact that he has served his country with great devotion, dedication and selflessness. His greatness lies in the fact that he is a top notch professional who treats national interest as his only top priority. If he continues to serve his people and country with such honesty, integrity and devotion, he shall forever retain a place not only in the hearts of his people, he would also occupy a prominent place in the history of nation that no other Pakistani COAS has ever come halfway close. And, following the same constitutional and selfless course, when he honorably retires, I would most fervently welcome him to the public arena, to join politics, contest elections and be the prime minister of Pakistan

@SUNIL, he does not to go thru election. He is already more popular than any political figure there and he can over power anyone in Pakistan. Pakistani's love their army more than democratically elected government.
