MMA ‘natural ally’ of govt

Published November 24, 2003

OKARA, Nov 23: Defence minister Rao Sikander Iqbal has said that the MMA is a “natural ally” of the government and it has assured the government that its MNAs would not be thumping desks during the next session.

He was speaking to a big gathering in the Tonga Adda compound at the launch of a road project in Sindhi Mohalla.

He hoped that the Indian prime minister would participate in the SAARC summit to be held next year in Pakistan.

He said that India should not use the Afghan soil for its nefarious designs against Pakistan.
