Woman shot dead on resistance

KASUR, Nov 23: Three dacoits on Sunday shot dead a woman on resistance at Haveli Malkanwali village, Raiwind Sadar.

Police said that armed bandits barged into the house of Feroz Khan, held the family hostage and started scooping cash and valuables. The intruders shot dead Sufaid Bibi instantly when she tried to resist and made good their escape. The police sent the body to mortuary for autopsy.

Raiwind Sadar police have registered a case against the dacoits-cum-killers.

Meanwhile, unidentified assailants stabbed to death a man on Sunday at Bhochkey village, Kasur Sadar.

As per police, Nazir Ahmad was coming from his fields when some assailants attacked him with sharp-edged weapons near his house. He died on the spot.

Sadar police have instituted a case.

STOLEN: Thieves took away the motorcycle of a Wapda metre reader from outside the office here on Sunday.

Muhammad Shafiq found his motorcycle (4471-LXU) missing when he came out of his office.

Sadar police have registered a case.
