Buying what you need, when you need it, is more popular than ever. According to the market research firm Mintel, two-thirds of adult consumers in the US shopped online on a monthly basis in 2015, and one-third of American adults shopped online every week — an increase from 24pc in 2014. About 78pc of all Americans made at least one online purchase in 2015.
