Published November 23, 2003

RAWALPINDI, Nov 22: The district government has announced the rates of wheat flour, which would be applicable in areas falling within the revenue limits of the district, a handout said.

This step, it said, had been taken to check profiteering.

The price of wheat flour (available in open bags) has been fixed at Rs10.5 per kg, while ex-factory rate of 20kg bag has been set at Rs198 per kg.

“No one is allowed to charge more than the prescribed rates,” the handout added.

District Coordination Officer Hamid Ali Khan was quoted as having said that action would be taken against those found selling wheat flour at prices higher than the prescribed ones. The new price would continue till further orders, it said.
