LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI’s) leader Abdul Aleem Khan says a 'malicious government-sponsored’ campaign has been launched against him, adding what is new there in the “leaks” about his declared assets.

At a news conference here on Monday, Mr Khan said he would sell his London flats and bring the money back home and in the same breath he demanded that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s sons - Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz - too sell their foreign properties and bring the money back home.

The PTI leader said that he could not be cowed into ditching Imran Khan under pressure from police and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

He said he had not received any notice from NAB. Regarding allegations of land grab , he asked why the PML-N government did not take action against him in its eight years stint. He asked Mr Sharif to speak truth regarding the biggest land fraud in the LDA City files and about the five companies selling and purchasing plots in the scheme. He also asked the prime minister to reveal the names of the owners of the companies, and also acknowledge his sons’ companies besides convincing them to invest their money in Pakistan.

Mr Khan said that he would have been getting contracts and establishing housing societies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, if he had invested on the PTI. He said he had joined Mr Khan to bring about a positive change in the country. He said he had declared his all assets before the Federal Board of Revenue and the Election Commission of Pakistan before contesting election and added that the government was highlighting his one company, which was not reported on Panama Leaks website.

On the other hand, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said the PTI chief should tell the nation about the offshore companies of his sisters and friend Zulfiqar Bukhari. He said the nation also wanted to know about the money collected at fund-raiser lunches and dinners.
